Local authorities, restaurants, hotels, distributors… Do you recycle all of your food waste?
We don’t teach you anything, but sorting and recovering your food waste is an excellent way to reduce your environmental impact on a daily basis.
If you did not know, since January 1, 2017, any activity producing more than 10 tons of bio-waste per year is required to install a management system. A law that will extend to all producers or holders of bio-waste by 2023.
Today, many solutions exist. In addition, their preventive aspect makes it possible to be vigilant on the number of bio-waste produced. They therefore reduce food waste.
It is still necessary to find the most suitable solution for its activity and its types of waste, for more efficiency!
Collection & recovery, compost, thermal dehydrator, conditioner… Takagreen tells you all about the solutions available to you!
WHAT IS FOOD WASTE?
Food waste is part of bio-waste. More commonly known as Kitchen and Table Waste; they include leftover meals, preparation waste, etc. from various activities: restaurants, caterers, distributors, preparers, etc.
Note that any plastic packaging or container is not considered food waste.
WHAT SOLUTIONS?
- COLLECTION
Collection is the ideal solution if you do not have the space to recycle your waste on your site.
Once collected, your waste is sent to a recovery center, which can use one of these two techniques:
– Composting: biological process that converts food waste into quality fertilizer to nourish the soil.
– Anaerobic digestion: fermentation of bio-waste which will release biogas.
Incineration or disposal in a storage center are now prohibited unless you have not been able to find any recovery sector by methanization or composting within your territory.
Si vous souhaitez opter pour cette alternative, Takagreen vous préconise ses partenaires :
- France : Mon Petit Seau – Axibio – Restovalor – Vepluche – Hector Le Collector – Les Alchimistes – Oui Compost – Love Your Waste –Bicycompost – La Tricyclerie – Ecovalim – Tryon.
- All of Europe : ECSAB
It’s up to you to choose the nearest company to optimize travel and thus strengthen your environmental footprint.
- COMPOST
If your premises allow it, you can opt for a compost on your site! As explained above, composting is a very good way to recover food waste. Indeed, it reproduces the natural cycle of matter and accelerates its decomposition process.
Advantage? An excellent fertilizer that you can use for your green spaces or resell to farmers, landscapers or individuals.
Several of our (French) partners specialize in the field of composting: Compost Urbain, Compost in situ, Forma Compost, Microterra, Organeo.
- VERMICOMPOSTING
Another composting technique called “vermicomposting” is used for food waste. Unlike vegetable composting, it is worms that transform organic matter into a soil called vermicompost.
Odorless, space-saving and with quick results, this alternative is ideal for installation in an enclosed area.
This solution is offered to you by several of our partners: Happy vers, Compostory and Moulinot.
are looking for insect breeders who can help you recover all your food waste, we invite you to contact ABC Green ou Protifly.
- THE ELECTROMECHANICAL COMPOSTER
THE ELECTROMECHANICAL COMPOSTER
The electromechanical composter makes it possible to create compost but electronically. The accumulated food waste is crushed and then sent to a first fermentation chamber. Then, they automatically switch to the second maturation chamber equipped with independent mixing where they are transformed into compost very quickly. On average, waste is reduced by 90% in 24 hours.
For optimal performance, it is important to choose an electromechanical composter adapted to the amount of waste produced daily.
This solution can be installed both indoors and outdoors, and provides compost of very good quality, performance, pest-free and odorless. In addition, it saves money on waste collection and transport.
To find out more about the electromechanical composter, we invite you to contact our partners Eco-Digesteur, Bio Tech Environnement et Up Cycle.
- THE THERMAL DEHYDRATOR
The thermal dehydrator is a waste treatment and recovery solution based on the principle of transformation into dry matter by dehydration. It allows you to transform your organic waste into a dry and odorless powder which will be collected by a specialized company which will then transport it to a composting or methanization center.
The thermal dehydrator therefore appears to be a solution that is quick to install and simple to use, which reduces the volume of your waste by up to 80%. Therefore, having less waste volume allows you to save money on collection. Indeed, instead of a weekly visit, the collection will be carried out every 4 to 6 weeks. Finally, the waste is heated to more than 70° to kill bacteria and provide you with an odorless dry material that does not attract pests. Our partners Geb solution, Ecogreen et Valwast can assist you in setting up this alternative.
- THE DECONDITIONER
The deconditioner makes it possible to separate bio-waste, the contents of their container, without crushing and without water, whatever the type of packaging and the organic matter.
They are then transformed into a bioresource in the form of an organic soup. A pre-treatment which also allows a better methanogenic power and a virtuous return to the ground. Indeed, this solution allows a direct or indirect valorization of the digestate.
Discover our partner Green Creative with its turnkey solution Flexidry. From study to maintenance, they support you in setting up their deconditioner.
